The Trojans win it on a Craig Fertig TD pass to Rod Sherman with 1:33 left.  Boston College 41, Notre Dame 39 (Nov. 20, 1993) Boston College's David Gordon connects on a 41-yard field goal in the final seconds to dash Notre Dame's national championship hopes. Two years removed from their 28th consecutive losing season, an NCAA record, the Beavers capped their best season in school history with a 41-9 victory against No. 10 Notre Dame in the 30th Fiesta Bowl.
